2 months from today...
I wish I could describe what happens in my head when I say that, it's like a comic book fight with words, but better.
Amazing actually.
We had a really great weekend. Friday night was spent mostly at home and ended at our BFF's house over several beers and a domestic dispute between the neighbors. That is always fun as long as no one gets hurt.
Saturday was an especially fun day. All of my girlfriends have been wanting to help me with something for the wedding. I had a designated craft day for all of us and we got a ton of stuff made. We did all of my centerpieces, table runners, my birdcage veil, the card box, and a few other crafts. My centerpieces turned out awesome! I'm having individual cakes at each table as the centerpiece and we had to make "stands" for them. I got the clever idea to take two grapevine wreaths and stack them. Todd and I made 100 teeny felt bows and four of them go on each stand. The girls wired them all together and glued the bows and plates on. They look so awesome! I really love the whole homemade, warm look we have going for the big day.
Saturday night was a doozy. We had a(nother) big poker party, this time for T's step-sister. We had 24 players and my baby won the whole thing! It was a nice party, until the tequilla came out and then things get fuzzy. All I know is that I woke up Sunday afternoon feeling like I had been run over. I was sick, sick, sick. Honestly, I have no idea how I played soccer two hours after I woke up, but I did. How's that for commitment? I was actually with it enough to take two awesome shots, one that was with my left foot and the other went in the keeper's face, hard. Shortly after my game, Toddles had a hockey game and they lost pretty bad. Oh! I didn't mention that last week he got a hat trick... He scored two shots and took an awesome penalty shot. I love watching him play. Anyhow, after all of that last night I made an awesome dinner and we watched the newest Harold and Kumar movie.
I'm recovered today but I slept too much yesterday. I think I'm going on two hours from last night. Ah well, second cup of coffee is on it's way down.
Nephew update before I forget. Little Wyatt was born on 8/20 at 2:55 - just in time for his Mimi, Aunt T, and Uncle Tyler to get there! He is beautiful and amazing and perfect. It is beyond awesome to watch my little brother as a father. He's a natural. When he gets down close to the baby and talks, Wyatt goes nuts because he knows Trev's voice. We are all so in love with him already! Last I heard, my friend was still waiting to have her little guy, her doctor isn't as nice as my SIL's.
Peace out and happy Monday!

for goodness sakes
Well, the lists are made and I think I'm ready for this weekend. I've got the diaper cakes made, Gram & Gramps present is here, I've got menus planned and helpers assigned. Today I have to get decorations, a new dress, and order balloons. I really hope everything turns out nice. I am going to attempt to make 6 quiches tonight. Hehe. I bet they don't get finished. I have to go get the kids a pack n' play. Can't forget that. Ah, I'm really not stressing about it. No one would notice anyway.
Have I told you that the wedding nightmares have started? They're stupid and annoying. I have had two dreams that T has left me at the altar. The first time he told me I was fat and I make everyone around me miserable and the second time he showed up in ugly clothes and told me he couldn't do it and walked away. I told him about them and he just looks at me like wtf is wrong with you. I'm sure it happens to every bride. I ain't every bride though, this caca needs to go away.
I've got phone calls to make and corsages to order so I better get back to it. Happy weekend!

A damn roller coaster, that's the best way to describe it. A girlfriend of mine asked me the other day "Did you guys get all moved in?" and I replied "Yes, finally". Her next words were "Are you still getting married?" and all I could do is laugh because I know why she asked. It's a learning experience, and Lord knows I wouldn't trade it, but it can test the strongest of couples.
After two weeks of it, I can honestly say that we're getting the hang of things. We have our routines, things we do together, things we do alone, and things we do for one another. We have learned to choose our battles and that sometimes it isn't about who's right or wrong. We have bought a vacuum cleaner instead of a Wii. We have agreed on pictures, furniture, and that we need a new trashcan. We've eaten dinner at the dining table more than once and we go to bed together every night.
We're definitely figuring it.
Toddles has been happy - he gets a home cooked dinner almost every night. I've made several things that have surprised him, I don't think he thought I was that good of a cook. I've made homemade mac & cheese, pulled pork, stuffed chicken, pork loin, killer quesadillas, and gravy that was pretty tasty. He got a little upset that I didn't want to cook last night. I was honestly too tired to cook and he tried to get me to anyway. Little stinker, he ended up with a delicious cheeseburger that topped anything I would've concocted.
I'm still elbow deep in planning what feels like a dozen events. Finally got the invites out for my brother's baby shower and my grandparent's 50th anniversary party. They're both next weekend and I've got to start working on menus. I ordered one gift and I'm making the other tomorrow morning while T plays golf.
After these are said and done, it's back into full swing on the wedding. It's 3 months from today. I had my first fitting two weeks ago and my dress is absofuckinglutely amazing. It almost made me cry. It fit almost perfect, my alterations are already finished, that's how few I had to have. I had to change my MOH's dress because she is too tan and it looked like she was naked in the burnt orange I had picked out. Brown is much more suitable and it will look neat because I will be the only person in the wedding party not wearing it. I'll glow up there. It's kind of cool because we have my shower scheduled, starting thinking about my bachelorette party, and all of the fun stuff. Now if the parents would get their shit together and start paying for the things they promised, I'd be a lot less stressed. We're getting our tickets to Mexico next week! That's all I care about anyway, my dress, my vows, and the honeymoon.
Eh, you want some Friday Fun? Why not... It's been awhile.
I picked the Feast because it's my favorite.
Appetizer
When was the last time you had your hair cut/trimmed? Eek! In December I think. I'm getting it cut today because it's way too long and I want it to grow back out before the wedding.
Soup
Name one thing you miss about being a child. Family vacations. My dad was my age when my parents divorced and he was left with three kids under the age of 8. He would throw us in the truck and take off to places we hadn't seen, somewhere we could learn, or experience things that made us curious. It made the three of us who we are today.
Salad
Pick one: butter, margarine, olive oil. Butter. Seriously, is anything else even an option? Alright, I'll admit to using the other two but if I had to pick...
Main Course
If you could learn another language, which one would you pick, and why? I want to be able to speak Spanish more fluently than I already do because I think it's importante for our future.
Dessert
Finish this sentence: In 5 years I expect to be… raising children. That's scary to say.
Have a good weekend, I'm going to enjoy this one - it's the only time I don't have 100 things scheduled for the next month.

hmpf
I had a wonderful weekend for the most part. I visited pretty much everyone I know in OKC, family-wise anyhow.
Friday I woke up feeling like shit. After overdosing on vitamin C, echinachea, and alsparagus root juice crap, I thought I would be able to fight it off. I made it to OKC early that afternoon and managed to see both of my brothers, the preggie sister-in-law, dad's girlfriend, grandpa and grandma, and a cousin, all after a little shopping trip. The cousin, one bro, and his girlfriend and I went out for a bit that night to a decent little bar.
Saturday was my big girl's day. The 3 C's came down about noon and we met at the Cheesecake Factory. Can anyone guess what I had? Yes, fried mac & cheese... *drooling* It was soooooooo incredibly good. No cheesecake for any of us though. We headed to the mall and tried to find shirts for the night. We all succeeded but by the time it was finished I was about ready to pull my hair out and started doubting my outfit choice. It was time to get out of the mall, we all needed caffeine and ciggies! We left to check into our very fabulous and swanky hotel. After we got unpacked and coffee made we vegged around and enjoyed the break. The four of us ladies started getting ready for the night... We ended up looking so hot. I mean HOT HOT. We cabbed it to a friend's bar and had a few beers. Then he drove us to the club and we mingled. All in all, we had a really great time. We ended up taking the same cab four times that night (thanks Betty!) because we had to eat after the bar closed. Word to the wise, never, EVER, let a cabbie take you to a truck stop breakfast buffet at 2 a.m. EVER. I thought I had rot-gut the next morning when I woke up. Ugh. Oh, and if you start to lose your voice, don't try to scream and yell to make it go all the way. It really hurts. I can hardly speak today.
Sunday was a loooooong day. We hadn't slept much because one of the C's snored and coughed all night long. I went to my other grandparent's house for a visit and coffee, and to get the courage to get ready to go get the things I wanted out of my great-gram's house. I finally got ready to go and met my grandpa over there. What a nightmare. The house was a pit, her stuff was all gone, and my family had taken every last thing that meant anything already. I got the stuff that no one else wanted, but it's okay because it means more to me than them. After that was finally over and I made my peace with everything I called my other Gram for an early dinner. We visited for four hours and I made my way to the nursing home to see Grandma.
More on that in another post.
I made my way home and cried it out. All of the stress and tension from my family tapped me completely. I was emotionally worn out. I turned the tv on and turned my brain off and tried to sleep. I coughed for over 30 minutes and thought I was going to the ER because I was so short of breath but I managed to recover. That brings me to today....
Happy Monday yo...

word.
So, my vacation begins today at 3:00. I'm not excited yet because it's going to be a crazy day at work. After lunch it'll hit me. I haven't had this much time off since... eh... August. haha Okay, so not that long but whatev. I'm headed to the Lou today and I get to see my Love for 6 whole days. Holy catballs! We're going to the Steelers/Rams game tomorrow night with the Roomies (his dad and stepmom) - I'm very excited about that! Plus I get to shop all day with no one to bug me. Very exciting as well. We'll be home Friday and then our Christmas festivities begin. Duh da da daaaa!
Saturday - Christmas with Mama and her side of the fam.
Sunday - Christmas with the Roomies and their part of the fam.
Monday - Christmas in OKC with Pops and his peeps.
Tuesday - Christmas with his Mom and her bfriend.
Wednesday (the most imporatante!) - MY BDAY! (Except it sucks ass because T is leaving me)
Thursday - Recovery day
Friday - Welcome baby Alli day (and T flies back)!!!
So, ya... I haven't done any shopping except for my boss because we had to exchange gifts today. The dude still hasn't given us our bonus so I can't even buy my fiancee a gift, but it's okay to spend $xx on the boss. Wasn't too happy about that. If we don't get it today I am going to spit nails. No Christmas for you. I'll take my damn Monty Python movie back. That's right boyyyeee.
I did make some scrumpdiddlyumptious mini quiches for food day today. Spinach, mushrooms, onions, pepper jack, and muenster.... YUM! I cannot wait to try them, they look mighty delish. I'll have to rewrite the recipe since I tweaked it and post it.
What else?
I hope that anyone reading my blog has a happy, healthy, wonderful, safe, and joyful Christmas.
Muah!

changes
I turned in the keys to my "super cute little house" on Saturday. It's been a really odd experience. Three years ago I was completely heartbroken and looking for a new home. My then-boyfriend was cheating on me, after I had raised his precious children and made a home with him for two years. I was sad and sick and really pathetic. Then I found this awesome little house that was full of color and cheer and just what I needed to start a new chapter in my life. I left the asshole and started a new life for myself. I started becoming friends with my Toddles again. I did the things that I wanted to do, not what someone else expected me to do. I got healthy again. I got happy again. It was a big turning point in my life because I really thought it was over for awhile.
The past month has been another life-changing experience. I have cried and laughed and lifted more boxes than I have in forever. I moved "back home" with my future in-laws. I'm getting married in 10 months. I'm in love and really happy for the first time in a bit. I'm getting out of debt and making a good life for myself, again. It's makes the whole marriage thing seem more real now that I'm sacrificing and bettering things for someone else. I swore three years ago I would never do this again. I wasn't going to fall in love, I wasn't going to give anything up for anyone, and I certainly didn't think I'd be moving in with the 'rents and losing some of my independence. Things change though. People grow up, fall in love, and makes dreams together.
I'm going to have my very own little family of two next year and that makes me so incredibly happy. *insert super happy tears here*
I'll stop being mushy but it really has been crazy in my world lately.
Did anyone else notice that we just slipped into December and it's already the fourth day, with twenty-one days to go until Christmas? Yeah, I just did. I haven't done any shopping yet but I have made my crazy organized list and I'm ready to start. Oh, but wait - I don't have my bonus yet. Thanks Bossman, make us wait until the last minute. I actually am going to get started with what I can this week. Not paying rent has it's advantages.
Tonight I have my first appointment with one of the photographers we've chosen for the wedding. I really wish T was here to go with me but I can manage on my own. I seriously only have 8 free days to myself this month. That is nuts! I was trying to pick a day to go to OKC for some Christmas shopping and it's like, duuuuuh Tara - you really shouldn't do that. Check this out: 2 photog appointments this week, two Christmas parties this weekend, work dinner, bunco, poker, December birthday dinner, and an ornament party next week; girls' night and then a 3 day break. Then it's off to St. Louis for the Steelers/Rams game, come home 2 days later, Christmas with Mom, T's fam, my fam, and taaadaaa! It's Christmas! Then it's my birthday and I turn the awful 27 and next thing you know it's freakin 2008.
Hopefully I won't have another breakdown between now and then. Peace y'all.

accomplishment.
Wednesday - I finished packing. I got this OCD thing going for this move and was super organized throughout the entire move. Everything was boxed, labeled, and ready to go when T arrived that night.
Thursday - Thanksgiving. We spent the day in OKC with my fam, had dinner, and were home by 8:00. It was our only scheduled day off for the whole weekend. Dinner was nice, my family was being a little odd but it was still a nice holiday.
Friday - Move my room. Toddles and I got up at a decent time and prepared for the day. I was hyper, crazy lady when I woke up from all of the excitement. T wasn't really ready for all that until I got him his fav McD's breakfast. We moved all of my room into his Dad's house in two trips. His stepmom's family was there so they helped us unload some of the stuff. We got everything put together and sleepable by the time dinner was ready at 4:00. We stuffed our faces and played poker that night. We also made it to Target to get some more things for my room.
Saturday - Ugh... We're tired by this day. We got around and made it to the old house to move all of my boxes. It was cold and we both wanted to be cozied up in bed. We got everything loaded into two cars and made it to the storage unit in no time. Unloaded and it was time to go to his brother's for another family meal. We grabbed some pizza and watched the OU/OSU game. After that it was time to hang with all of our friends. We drank our aches and pains away and called it a night after a few too many drinks.
Sunday - Oops. T has a nasty hangover. I feel fine but I do NOT want to get out of bed. We wake up late and our helper is already calling. I tell him we need another hour. Thank God he's such a nice guy. We meet up at the house, move the big stuff - W/D, fridge, couch, etc to storage. Get done. Go eat. Go sleep. We were so tired that we slept for 3 hours yesterday. I think it all caught up with us.
Now all I have to do is clean out the house and I'm finished. It feels so good to have had such a stress-free move. T said it's because I rock and had everything ready to go. I couldn't agree more.
I've been happier this past week than I have in a long time. I truly believe it's because I got rid of all the bad shit in my life and I am preparing for a fresh start with my Beloved. I feel clean, refreshed, and organized for once. It is amazing!
Oh, the wedding countdown is 10 months, 29 days. Yikes!
Hope everyone had a really nice Thanksgiving. Get any shopping done?

no wonder i'm grumpy...
I continued my madness through the weekend. Poor, poor Toddles dealt with me so nicely.
Friday was my friend S's birthday. He was being a total prick the whole night because he thinks he can sometimes and it being his bday made it even worse. T and I went home early because we had a busy day planned for Saturday and we were not in the mood for S's crap.
I had to get up earlyish the next day for a baby shower for my friend Court. It was nice, not short enough, but nice for one of those shower things. Her MIL hooked her up! I've never seen so much pink in all my life! I looked super cute for the shower because this girl T used to date was there. Hot red dress and fun shoes and hair, plus the sizable engagement ring = delish! I told my future MIL that I would give up my future baby shower if I never have to go to another again. She didn't go for that too well. Baby showers suck sooooo bad.
T and I had a dinner date later that night. It was wonderful and romantic. We had some great Italian food and wine, and it was super cozy. After that we went to check on BFF and her pneumonia, stole her hubby for a bit for beer and football, and went out. I started feeling bad at some point in the night. Ciggies were killing me and I begged T to take me home. He really didn't want to but I finally managed to get him home.
I woke up Sunday and felt like someone had socked me in the chest. I couldn't breath and the first thought in my head is pneumonia since BFF has had it so bad. I toughed it out for awhile until the coughing became unbearable. I took a shower and the steam helped but I still ended up going to the doctor. $68 later I'm on an inhaler, crazy antibiotics, and I've got bronchitis and some pneumonia. Yay me. No wonder I've been totally weak and tired and bitchy. My wonderful fiance took care of me and got a ton of stuff done since I'm having a garage sale this weekend. I'm so lucky.
So, I'm actually working today. I would rather be in bed but there's really no point since I'd end up getting bored and would work on the crap for the garage sale. Thank goodness for cough drops, hot tea, and the inhaler. Bosslady doesn't even know I'm sick yet.
Anyway, that's my weekend. Stay tuned for more madness because the next two weeks are c-razy. I might've found a home for Pedro but more on that later. I'm ready for lunch.
10.16.2007
today is...
Read about it here.
And I'm bored so I'm going to tell you alllll about my weekend.
Friday night my honey bunny surprised me and showed up in town. We went out and got a little shitty and stayed up too late doing silly things that are our little secret. No really, I'm not telling you.
Saturday T and I went ottoman shopping at 5 different stores and didn't find crap. We found one online that we're going to order that was pretty much what we wanted. It's so cool that we have the same taste and style - it makes life a lot easier - we both like simple and contemporary so there aren't any arguments over floral pillows and Oriental rugs. My bro and his gfriend showed up Saturday night in time for our friendly poker game with The Gang. I thought T was going to do well but he ended up going out at 4th place. The four of us went out after that and got hooked up at The Bar (clever name, huh). We went to an after party and stayed out way too late again. I felt like a high-schooler crashing someone's house. Fun stuff.
Sunday was fun day. Me, Ty, and Mags went to the grocery store to get stuff for a big lunch. Ty talked me out of making meatloaf, which I had been craving for two weeks, and into grilling steaks. They turned out great, had some mac & cheese, grilled squash & potatoes, and green beans. It was a ton of food!!! My little bro has turned into quite the grillmeister. I guess that's what happens when you're unemployed for 2 years and watch Food Network everyday. We watched football all day and hung out. Ty and Mags went to the Down concert, I declined, not my type of musica. Toddles had to go back home and I cried about it. He's been staying an extra day so I felt cheated this weekend. I sat down with a book and enjoyed my evening and made eggs for dinner. Comfort.
I went to watch football last night since I'm a lame-o and don't have cable. Have I mentioned that it pisses me off that Monday Night Football is only on ESPN? Well it does. It was the first time I've been out during the week in awhile. Okay, like two weeks but whatever. Went to Maloney's and it was actually nice. They remodeled and it was a lot better. I was nervous about running into Dickhead, the loser ex bf, but I was spared the drama. I drank beer all night and actually woke up feeling great today. That's because I didn't touch the Jaeger. See... I'm getting smarter with age. Jaeger makes the head pound and the tummy purge. Good to know since I'm being taken out again tonight.
Oh, I made an awesome dinner last night but that will be another post because I haven't downloaded my pics yet. It was a beautiful creation!
Yeah! Tuesday is 30 minutes from being over. Well, work over. But yeah!
10.01.2007
wonderful
I had the greatest weekend!!! And I'm so excited to share it.
Friday afternoon was more wedding dress shopping. I think I found IT but I have to go back with my MOH and see if she feels it as much as I do. IT was fabuloso. IT was made for Tara. Love IT.
My dad, his g-friend, and Toddles showed up later that evening. I had plans to make this pasta from the Pioneer Woman. Would you believe that I went to three grocery stores trying to find f&^king basil and still didn't get some! I know I should have my own growing but sheesh, you would think that you could find freakin basil. So anyhow, I made the pasta, minus the basil and my dad brought a bottle of wine. We ate and drank and drank and played video poker. It was a wonderful night! Oh, I made an apple crisp with ice cream too. I'm goooood.
We got up Saturday morning and went to show dad and Y the lodge for the wedding. They both loved it! We went to the casino after that. My lucky ass father won $250 in 30 minutes. Turd. It was time for the fair shortly after that. You would think that since they tore down Bell's that there would be more parking but there wasn't. I finally found a spot to make my own row and we set off to find some yummy lunch. I knew I was having a corndog first and it was just what I was craving, Dad and Y got one too. We walked around and ate some more junk, I had fried pickles, T had a steak sammich and some roasted corn, and Dad had a gyro. After we were stuffed Dad wanted to walk by the newest extreme ride, the SkyScraper. Boy oh boy. Bad idea after fried anything. He talked me into riding it with him. It is 165 feet tall, has two sets of seats on the end of this giant pendulum looking thing and it spins you around in gigantic circles and pulls 4 g's. It was freakin awesome until we stopped at the top and it was swaying. You could feel the dirty carnies pulling on the harnesses of the next riders below us. It was a rush and I'm glad I did it. Totally effing rad. I'm sure it beats that stupid slingshot thingy too. After that we were all tuckered out so we headed home. We grilled some brats and potatoes for dinner, played poker with our friends, and hung out. It was a perfect day!
Sunday, Dad and Y headed out. He is heading back to Cali today. Sigh. But he'll be back for Turkey Day in what, 9 weeks or something. Shit. No even going there.
We had plans to go see T's mom and that side of the family. I protested but he made me go. I wanted to lie on the couch all day and watch football and eat queso. She made his favorite dinner and we all sat around and played with the niece and nephew and the guys played horseshoes. The kiddos are so dang cute! We hung out there all day and a storm rolled in, which we could see great because she lives about 20 minutes outside of town. Me, T, his mom, and her b-friend all went to Chili's for dinner. I love their silly chicken crisper things. I hate to admit it but I ate all of them last night and didn't touch my broccoli and had just a few of my fries. Mmmmm... fatso.
T stayed in town because I was being whiney. We went home and rubbed each other's feet and watched the end of football and talked. It was the second perfect day in a row! I'm so lucky! Now if I can get him to wake up and take me to lunch before he heads back to the Lou I think I could die. Not really but I'd be super happy.
Happy Monday. :)

i'm a bad quitter
It's Thursday already! Today I am going dress shopping for the first time!!! My mom, sis, and I are going after work to a boutique that's having a huge sale. Then it's sushi time baby! We're going to try Sushi Train, haven't had it yet. The menu looks great!
I chopped my hair again yesterday. It's this cute little pixie bob thingy and I'm so happy that I got the cajones to do it. New hair. New dress. New sushi. It's going to be a good day!
Plus! Oh yeah, there's a plus... My dad is home from Cali for a visit and he's coming up to see us tomorrow night. Super exciting since we haven't seen him since June and that was totally pre-engagement. Also the reason I'm going dress shopping tonight and tomorrow because if I find something he can get it for me. I'm such a daddy's girl! Anyway, we're hanging out tomorrow night, I'm thinking of making meatloaf and taters and homemade bread. Yummy! He's bringing wine since he lives in Wine Country for us to try for the wedding. (394 days by the way!)
The fair is in town starting today. We'll all go on Saturday and chow down on some kind of deep fried goodness and ride risky dirty carnie rides. I'll probably do the olives and pickles, and maybe a spiral spud. I love this time of year!!! And I'm glad Dad will be here since Toddles doesn't like the rides, he and dad's gfriend can chill while we have fun. Yeehaw!
That's what the hap is with me.
7.17.2007
My honey came home at a decent hour on Friday, that was nice! We went out for drinks with C&B, bar-hopped a little. We couldn’t believe how dead the bars were because of all the festivals going on - there was Rocklahoma, Reggaefest, some Jazz fest, two car shows, and something else keeping everyone busy. If we weren’t so concerned with drinking, maybe we could have been smart and went to one of them. We had some delicious Waffle House at 4 a.m. after some games of foosball and darts at B’s house. Woowee, that stuff hurts the belly in the morning but there is something magical about their coffee, I think it cures all hangovers.
Saturday was Toddles’ brother’s graduation party. I woke up after 3 ½ hours of sleep with some intense itching from last weekend's sunburn and had to go to the store for some anti-itchy meds. It was awful but I finally got some relief and crawled back in bed until we had to be at the party. The party was fun, it was all of his family minus one step-sister and her ridiculous fiancĂ©, no love lost there (him, not her). We got to meet the other sister’s new boyfriend, he seemed nice enough. Everyone swam and ate and we got a big poker game going. Once again, I lost. T took 3rd place, which was nice because he got his buy-in back. His other SIL was hammered duckshit and kept us all in stitches the whole night. She must have drank a gallon of Crown. I bet she felt awful on Sunday morning. We stayed up late again, don’t think we got home until 3 a.m. or so, these long nights really kick my hiney and I feel drained on Mondays but I’m glad my sweetie and I get to spend it time together.
Sunday, Toddles had made plans for us to have lunch with B&C but neither of us were really in the mood to leave the house. We finally agreed to put our happy faces on and meet them at Fox & Hound for a bite. I’m not a huge fan of chain restaurants, but I love their Black Forrest sandwich. It’s a soft pretzel roll sliced in half, with turkey, bacon, swiss, lettuce, tomato, and honey mustard. I think it’s the pretzel and honey mustard that does it for me, so tasty! It gave me an idea to make mini-pretzels for my next ladies’ night, that’s going to be fun. After we ate, B&C talked us into coming over to play their new Wii. That little machine was pretty effin cool! I hadn’t seen one yet, who would’ve have though Nintendo would have come this far in the last 20 years. I still have my original Nintendo and games with the gun! Yes, nostalgic and dorky, all in one. Anyhow, we all took turns playing. That thing will wear you out! It was just as much fun watching as it was playing. B&C let us make our own Mii people and I told them we’ll have to get our own controllers so we can have Wii parties. I think they got it since C is pregnant and will be stuck in the house over the hot summer.
Oh, guess what?!?!?!!?!
It didn’t rain all freakin weekend! Hallelujah! It was hotter than hell but whatever. I’m such a nerd for being excited about the weather, but it’s because of T’s dad - he’s a meteorologist.
S&S went to Rocklahoma over the weekend. They wanted me to come but 80's hair bands just aren’t my cup of tea. I think they had fun. She finally got to meet her myspace boyfriend. Yeah, I know. Weird. I was a little disappointed that I didn’t get some cool concert panties, S is normally good about getting me a pair at every concert he goes to. Oh, and they made a CD, it’s lovely - S&S singing “The Ballad of Jayne” by the LA Guns. I can’t wait to get a copy of that... haha
Well, think that’s about it... Happy Tuesday peeps!
P.S. - Does anyone want to loan me their Sawzall? There are some morons working downstairs and it feels like they are going to cut through the floor any minute now. I want to start making noise back!

Case of the Mondays...
We had a super weekend. Friday night was poker night with The Gang. Toddles almost won but he got beat by his dad. We went to a couple of places afterwards and ended up closing down a bar near my house. Saturday was funny, we both wanted to go do something indoors but we couldn't agree so we went and had a late breakfast and lounged around the house all day. I love those kind of days and we normally reserve them for Sunday, but since we had plans with his dad it was nice to still get it on our short visit. We both thought we were going to be miserable at the horse races that night but it turned out to be the most perfect evening, for June in Oklahoma anyhow. We didn’t have much luck until the last two races we bet on, I kept telling T that I wasn’t going to touch the money because I have bad mojo when it comes to gambling, so he was making the bets for me. I picked the winners of the last two races and we almost covered our losses for the night. I think we spent more on booze than horses, but man, they make a killer Crown and Coke at the track. We tried to go to Santino’s later that evening but it was packed a-holes to elbows so we didn’t stay. We ended up at the Depot like normal and we stayed until the cops decided to raid the bar, which is never pleasant. I guess they were checking the tax tags on all of the machines and the liquor licenses, I’ve never seen that bar clear out so fast at 1:30 a.m. on a Saturday night. I thought it was funny to watch everyone scramble outside, as they don’t know you’re safer inside, can’t get a DUI if you’re not driving. Duh peeps.
Sunday was another relaxing day. We headed to T’s dad’s house for lunch and the race. We ended up staying over there all day and they went to buy a new tv. I helped his stepmom clean up the house while they were gone. I really missed my daddy that day, it sucked being away from him on “his” day but Toddles’ dad makes a good back up. They’re so good to me and treat me like one of their own. We stayed over there long enough to take them to dinner since they got the pizza for lunch. We went to Chili’s and it was delish! I love those damn chicken crispers but they are so bad for me. After we ate dinner we met S&S for a drink and stayed until the second showing of Entourage came on, then we went to watch that.
It was really a nice weekend. We didn’t talk about moving but I’m thinking that will happen when I’m in the Lou visiting this next weekend. We were so lovey all weekend, it felt good to have my boyfriend and best friend around. I love that guy so much it makes me crazy, but in a good way, ya know? I bet the next 4 days go so slowly.
I'd like to give a shout out to my Pops, even though he doesn't have the internet or really know how to use it, maybe this will get to him in spirit. Thanks for always being the number one man in my life, you're always there when I need you - whether it's to talk or just listen, or to knock some sense into me. I'm glad you're my friend and my hero - my life would be so different if you hadn't made big choices to stick around and raise us. You did a fine job! I love you Daddy!
Pass the tissue, I'm such a baby.

Boy oh boy!
My weekend started early as I had to be in OKC for the rehearsal dinner on Thursday night for my brother’s wedding. Everything went smoothly and the wedding party and their families went to dinner afterwards. That night I wasn’t feeling too well so I doped myself up on a lovely cocktail of muscle relaxers and pain pills to ensure a much needed heavy sleep. I woke up 10 hours later feeling quite revived except for the back pain from hell that would not go away.
Friday was a lazy day, I got to spend time with my daddy, whom I hadn’t seen since December. I hate that he’s living in California but I know he’s doing it for a good reason so I have to let it go. I just miss him so much. We talked about me moving to the Lou and Trevor’s impending marriage, as well as Tyler and what’s going on in his life. Dad fully supports me moving to be with Toddles, which I think I needed, since he’s always been my #1 fan. He knows that T and I are destined to be together, it’s just time for us to grab the reins and do something for ourselves.
Saturday was insane in the membrane! The day started off with a hangover, always a nice way to wake up. Toddles and I grabbed some lunch and headed to the park where the wedding was going to be to help set up the reception hall and chairs for the ceremony. The day could not have been more perfect, according to every weather channel and internet source, it was supposed to rain all day but we lucked out and the sky was clear and bright blue. We helped the bride’s family get everything set up and I took off to set up the honeymooner’s room for the night but couldn’t find anywhere to park so I had to skip that idea. I-40 was completely locked up because of construction so it took me 40 minutes to make my way back to our hotel and get ready and make signs for the park. Thank goodness for valium because I was stressed - big time. When I got back to the room, T told me that I only had 35 minutes until we had to be back at the park for pictures. What did I do? Grab a beer and take a breath... It kept me cool. I got ready in no time and we looked pretty freakin hot if I don’t say so myself. We headed to the garden for pre-wedding family pictures and did the meet and greet with all of the relatives. Of course, by this time, it was 10 degrees hotter and the sun was shining with full force, and I had 3 layers of clothing on. 3 layers + sun = sweat factory. I’m sure we’re all shiny in the pics but oh well.
Oh, they’re so cute - here’s a pic from the reception...

The ceremony itself was beautiful. R’s dad was the minister and he did a really great job. I think he made everyone there cry. I teared up seeing my little brother standing at the altar, waiting on his bride. It was a really lovely ceremony, just enough giggles and lots of love beaming from every person who attended. It’s funny because I thought I would be next, I wasn’t, and I am totally okay with that. I know our turn is coming... The reception was short and sweet, they kept the ball rolling pretty fast. I think T&R were pretty excited when we presented them with their honeymoon to Puerto Vallarta, they are ready for a break after this whirlwind planning. Here’s a picture of them riding off as husband and wife, aren’t they cute?

A group of us got together after the reception and went dancing. Dad was being so goofy, I love it when he’s like that! His girlfriend was so excited that I got him out of the house, that’s what daddy’s girls do - beg and get our way. We all danced and drank and danced and got drunk. It was so much fun! I can only dance with a strong lead - and T and Dad are both great dance partners. T has to count for me and Dad just swings me the way I’m supposed to go. It’s pretty cool that I can go out with my dad, his lady, my maternal aunt, a handful of cousins from both sides of the family and we all can have such a good time. Not many blended families are that cool!
Sunday, needless to say, I was t-i-r-e-d. Both of us were. All of us were. Toddles got to have his first Del Rancho experience, which was the yummo grease that we all needed. They really should expand to the entire state. It’s BS that they’re all at least an hour away, but it’s also a good thing because I would probably weigh 300 lbs if there was one closer.
T and I came home and crashed out. We slept for almost 4 hours, as soon as our heads hit the pillows we were both in lala land. I was a bad girl and begged him to go to CiCi’s Pizza for dinner, it was one of those weird cravings that you know you shouldn'y cave in to but do anyway. It was totally worth it - 4 words - macaroni and cheese pizza. Do I even need to explain? Two of my favorite foods combined into one. Delish! It hurt though, we both said we were going to be careful and not overeat but it’s T&T, you might get bit if you get between us and some pizza. Haha! We watched Deja-Vu last night - or T did anyway - I fell asleep an hour into it, go figure.
My baby flew home this morning, I had to have him at the airport at 6freakin30 after both us were restless all night. I bet we slept a total of 3 hours combined, which is not enough for either of us to begin move any body parts at 5:45 a.m. I hated to see him go but I know we have a lot to look forward to soon. Lots of plans in the works! Lots! : )
Only 3 hours until I can go take a nap. Cannot. Wait.
Peace, love, and turtles!

What it do?
It’s almost wedding time! It’s a little less than two weeks until my youngest brother, Trev, and his darling fiancĂ©, Roo, get married. I spent the weekend with them and had a really nice time. Like to hear it? Here is goes...
Friday evening I had made plans to highlight S’s hair. I was getting nervous about it but once the bleach was on, my destiny was in her hands... er, hair. It looked like we were doing a science experiment because she had ice on both of her gimp knees propped up on the coffee table and a lovely highlighting cap on. SK brought us dinner from Pei Wei, the Kung Pao was good, the sweet and sour was too gingery, and the lettuce wraps were perfect! S’s hair ended up really pretty, I did a darn good job if I don’t say so myself! : ) After we ate dinner that SK brought and rinsed her hair it was beer time. We met up with some friends and drank the night away. I forgot that I was supposed to play poker with the gang so they weren’t too happy with me. Oh well, I think they’ll get over it. Sometimes it’s hard having two groups of friends.
Saturday, I slept in. It was soooo nice not having to get up and do a million things. I headed for OKC around 1:00 for Roo’s personal shower. Got her some super cute Victoria’s Secret stuff and this candle that turns into massage oil as it burns. Smelled like vanilla and I don’t do vanilla, but I might have if I were getting a massage with it. I was exhausted when we got finished with the shower but I kept on truckin. I hung out with my dad’s girlfriend for a couple of hours and then called the lovebirds to see what they were up to. I headed for their house and when I got there, I kicked both of their booties in Mario Kart and got ready to go out. We called Dougbert to see where he was working the door and headed over. It was this place that had a motorhead feel to it, you know like greasers, rock-a-billy, type stuff. I liked it and Trev being a mechanic liked it too. There was a band playing that looked like they walked right out of the 1950's complete with horn-rimmed glasses and pompadours. When Dougbert got off at midnight we headed over to a hookah bar called Isis. It was swanky, the bartender wasn’t very friendly but whatever. I ordered a mango vodka on the rocks and decided that it was one of the most delicious sprits I had ever tasted. Everyone took a sip of my drink and ordered one for themself. I was going to get the first round and when the lady said, “that’ll be $55" I about sharted. $11.00 for a freaking shot of vodka!!! It was wonderful but daaayum! Needless to say, we only stayed there for one drink. Oh, well Trev got a beer, don’t remember what kind it was but it was tasty. We headed to a bar called the Red Rooster that was pretty neat, beer only though - we all had some big ass Boulevard and they were yummy. We closed that joint down and headed back to Dougbert’s new apartment. Super cute little place on the NW side of downtown - I would live in the same area if I lived in OKC. Oh, and if anyone knows of a mango vodka besides Finlandia, let me know - I want to find that sweet nectar of the Gods!
Sunday, the three of us woke up late and grabbed some greasy breakfast. We went back to their house and watched “Night at the Museum” - cute flick! We talked all day and it really sounds like they are ready to get married, they just have to figure out the whole house situation but that’s a whole ‘nother post! Family business is crap business when a relative is no longer capable to handle their stuff is all I have to say.
Great weekend - I missed my Toddles though. Just 3 more days until we meet again and I am looking forward to it.
I’ve got to get our food plans together for the weekend at the lake, I’ll check in again soon!

Monday
The Gang got back from hunting yesterday afternoon. Toddles and Tim both got turkeys! I was so excited for T - it was his first bird. It sounds like everyone had a great time, I just don't know about having animal parts in my garage. I'll do it for my honey I guess. : )
Anywho, just another day so far - it's still early though. I've been at work since 6:45, had to drop T off at the airport this morning to catch an early flight. I'm going to be exhausted by the time 5:00 rolls around...
Here's that recipe!
